The saloon’s own website still lists a summer 2026 target, but that window has come and gone with the remodel still underway, and the team has been telling followers on its Facebook page that January 2027 is the new target. We update this page when a firm date lands.
Where it is going
21838 S Ellsworth Road, the northwest corner of Ellsworth and Ocotillo. That is the old Oscar’s Market building, which has sat vacant for close to two decades while the rest of downtown grew up around it.
What it actually is
A country-themed saloon and restaurant, the second location of the Rusty Buckle in Apache Junction. Think Southern comfort food, a full bar, and live music, in a town that somehow still does not have a true country bar despite the horse properties on every third street.
Why this corner matters
Ellsworth and Ocotillo is turning into the town’s main intersection all at once. The Switchyard is going up on the northeast corner with Snooze, Shake Shack, and Postino. The Matheson is rising on the southeast corner. And the Rusty Buckle is bringing a dead landmark building back to life on the northwest. If you want to picture downtown Queen Creek in two years, stand at this light.
