Where it is

The southeast corner of Ellsworth Loop and Ocotillo, in downtown Queen Creek.

What it actually is

A two-story building of roughly 20,000 square feet, mixing office and retail. The anchor tenant is Matheson Dentistry & Implant Center, which gives the building its name. The remaining ground-floor space is where the interesting announcements will come from, and none have been made yet.

The bigger picture

The Matheson is one piece of the roughly $200 million in private projects remaking downtown Queen Creek right now, alongside The Switchyard across the street and the Rusty Buckle Saloon reviving the old Oscar’s Market building on the opposite corner. Three corners of one intersection, all under construction at the same time. That is the fastest physical change downtown has ever seen.
